Writing Coach
If you want to improve your writing and sell what you write, a coach can help. Coaching is an ongoing one-on-one relationship between a coach and a writer who desires coaching. Coaching guides writers to address issues that will lead to writing success. These issues include, but are not limited to: setting and achieving long and short term goals, decision making, developing a writing career and staying motivated to write.
As a coach Angela develops a limited number of writers in one of four writing tracks:
: Write and sell your nonfiction magazine articles
For beginning writers who want to sell their work. Angela will guide you through the step-by-step process so you can make money for your nonfiction magazines articles. Steps include: writing a query, setting goals, marketing techniques, editing, etc. Having sold her own articles to over 100 markets, Angela can coach you to success as well.
: Write your life story
Every life is a testimony. Our lives can, and should, be used to benefit to others. How do you formulate and share your life story? Whether your goal is a book to share at the family reunion or market to publishers, this track will guide you through the process. Learn techniques to jar your memory, develop a timeline, write compelling dialogue and research the past.
: Prepare your nonfiction book and proposal for an editor or agent
Ninety percent of publishers and agents buy books on the basis of the book proposal alone. This track is for writers who want to write and market a book. Sessions include preparing a promotion plan, writing an outline, researching markets, writing chapters, etc.
: Open doors in Christian writing markets
This track is for writer’s who want to focus on writing for Christian markets. Slants in this market include: writing devotionals, writing your testimony, researching Christian writing markets, etc. Angela will inspire and teach you to write for God and encourage others with the words He gives you.
